Ascension chooses 316L stainless steel in all of our collections. It is a grade extremely resistant to corrosion and has extra-low carbon content, making it ultra-durable and magnetic resistant. We also elect to use sapphire crystal glass for all watches. The hardest material in the world, second to diamond, the sapphire crystal is almost impossible to scratch. Each watch also has a minimum 10 ATM water resistance rating, meaning the watch is specifically designed to withstand casual water exposure, showering, and shallow swimming.
This 22 mm wide Hadley-Roma watch strap is made of genuine Italian calfskin leather with alligator grain embossing. This beautiful watch band tapers to 20 mm on the buckle end. It is Rembordé cut with heavy padding and measures 4 mm thick. The leather is also water resistant with hypo-allergenic elements.
I don't like the logo color is more orange/yellow than gold.
Besides that, good watch all-around with easy delivery.

One Year Review
I bought this watch a year ago as an xmas gift to myself. The watch is very one of a kind and the band is unique. It has been a great talking point. The pictures on the site don't reflect the feeling of solid-ness in the watch. I've been fairly rough with it and there are no scratches thus far. I got the silver case with the brown band. I was looking for a simple understated watch and i am pretty happy with the purchase. I would recommend Ascension watches to a friend.
